North East Lincolnshire Council is updating its All Age North East Lincolnshire Carers Strategy and would like to hear from local people through a short survey.
Unpaid carers (sometimes referred to as Informal carers) play a vital role in our communities, providing support to family members, friends, or neighbours who need help and support. This includes adult carers, young carers, and parent carers.
Our current Carers Strategy was developed in partnership with carers, health and care professionals, local organisations and members of the public in 2023. As we refresh the current strategy we want to make sure it continues to reflect the needs and experiences of carers and focuses on the areas that matter most. The updated strategy will guide support for unpaid carers across North East Lincolnshire until 2030
While caring can be rewarding, it can also affect a person's health, wellbeing, finances, and day-to-day life. By sharing your views, you can help us make sure future support meets the needs of local unpaid carers and works well for them.
The survey is open to:
- Unpaid carers 18 years of age and over- unpaid carers includes anyone who may be receiving carers allowance
- Professionals working with local people
- Any North East Lincolnshire resident, whether or not they have caring experience
- If you are under 18 years of age, please complete the Young Persons Carers survey form which can be found here
This survey includes short summaries of the main points from our strategy. If you would like more information, you can read the full strategy
here.
